Fire Department
The Loris Fire Department is a full service, all volunteer, pay per call fire department responsible for fire protection to the residents of the Loris since 1928. LFD serves city residents and those inside the Loris Fire District of the unincorporated Horry County area outside city limits. Services provided by LFD include Fire Suppression, Fire Inspections, Extrication/ Rescue, Hazardous Materials Operations, Risk Reduction, Fire and Life Safety Education, and EMS First Responder assistance. LFD has Automatic Aid and Mutual Aid agreements with Horry County Fire Rescue and Tabor City Fire Department.
As of April 1st, 2017 Loris Fire Department will hold an ISO Class 3 rating for Fire Protection.
LFD in partnership with the American Red Cross has a smoke alarm installation program for those in need. Please refer to th elink at the bottom of the page to take advantage of this program.
Loris Fire Department operates 3 Engines, 1 Ladder Tower, 1 Rescue/Squad, 1 Tanker, 2 Brush trucks, and 1 Antique Fire Engine.
